LONG VINTAGE FAUX PEARL & GOLD TONE CHAIN NECKLACE

I love pearls and wished more people wore them!  This vintage faux pearl necklace has large off-white pearls and gold tone chain - and is quite long.  The chain has aged - which I like.  I prefer it to a bright gold colour.  I would wear several of these necklaces together - but appreciate not everyone is quite so over the top!  It is about 46 inches long.  Price £55 ref: 3149 D2/47

GOLD TONE VINTAGE BROOCH -IRREGULAR PIECES RADIATING FROM CENTRE TURQUOISE GLASS STONE

Every now and then a piece comes along that I would love to wear. This brooch is one of them!  It is quite unusual and makes a statement - I am not one for boring!  Gold tone pieces radiate from a central turqoise glass stone.  It is quite big - around 4 inches across.  The mark is difficult to read but I think it says 'atoutmoment'.  I do not know who they are.  Ref: 3146 D1/7

ART DECO NECKLACE - BLUE GALALITH AND WHITE METAL

This is a great Art Deco necklace from the 1930s.  Made of white metal - probably chrome - and blue galalith.  It resembles Jakob Bengel but I have not seen it in the books so I am not going to attribute it to that factory.  There were other factories making similar jewellery.  It is quite short - at nearly 18 inches.  It has not been altered in any way - unlike to many items one seems around.  It is in good condition. Price £148 Ref: 3145 C78/27.

ART DECO JEWELLERY - RED

Finally got around to tidying the Art Deco Cabinet.  Took everything out of the red shelf but finding it impossible to put it all back without overcrowding it!  So many small items!  Bakelite, galalith, celluloid, dress clips, brooches, earrings etc.  Necklace fine on their stands - but the rest is such a job to disply.  If you are passing +Grays Antiques  do drop in and take a look!

5 1930s METAL BRACELETS FEATURING ORIENTAL, EGYPTIAN REVIVAL AND CLASSICAL IMAGES

I think these were made in Czech. circa the 1930s.  Some - like these - feature Oriental, Egyptian Revival and Classical motives.  Others were tourists pieces - for places like Paris.  Some were good quality and others quite cheaply made.  I love the Egyptian Revival ones - nos. 2 and 3 are exclusively Egyptian motives.  If you are interested please let me know.  Ref: 3143 prices around £55.

FILIGREE BROOCH - LARGE CZECH. VINTAGE - OVAL WITH MIXED COLOURS GLASS STONES

This wonderful Czech vintage brooch was probably made in Gablonz in the 1930's.  It is quite large - being approx 3 x 2 inches and an oval shape.  The glass stones are different shapes and colours.  The metal work is elaborate.  It is in very good condition for the age.  Great brooch to wear on a winter shawl!  Ref: 3141 C81/11 Price £88

DIAMANTE & PEARL DECORATION VINTAGE POWDER COMPACT

This is a gold tone, diamante and pearl decoration vintage powder compact probably from the 1950s.  It resembles the work of Wiesner of Miami - who made similar items.  Shame it is not marked!  Report on condition etc. on my web site with extra pictures.  Ref: 3140 C78/3

LEA STEIN BROOCH - THE PEACOCK - LIBERTY STYLE PATTER - BLUE & GREEN

Love this Lea Stein peacock brooch.  It has a shiny green body and the feathers are in a Liberty style fabric pattern.  The pattern resemble fans and is in blue, green and white.  One of Lea Stein's more delicate designs!  Of course - for me - it has to be a genuine Lea Stein - I do not sell the cheap Chinese copies.  It is marked on the back Lea Stein Paris.  You will see the copies all over the place but they are not nearly as beautiful as an original Lea Stein.  They are cheaply produced - unlike a Stein brooch.  This one measures approx. 2 3/4 inches across.  Ref: 3139 C81/19
