GILLIAN HORSUP VINTAGE JEWELLERY AT GRAYS ANTIQUES IN CENTRAL LONDON

In my shop at Grays Antiques (The Mews) I sell an enormous variety of vintage costume jewellery.  In addition to all the open shelving in the shop itself I have about 9 locked cabinets.  The items in these cabinets can be sold by our Reception even if I am not in the shop.  I sell items from the Victorian period through to the current day - anything I take a liking to.  I have a good selection of clip earrings - as we have a lot of customers who do not have pierced ears.  The picture is of one small cube with some brownish items in it.  Do pay a visit if you are in London.

GREEN & GOLD FOIL VINTAGE GLASS DROP EARRINGS - PIERCED

I just love glass jewellery.  These green and gold foil glass earrings are something that I would love to wear.  The colours are amazing!  Not sure if they are Venitian or Czech - or whether the lever back fittings are original.  I will take them into my shop - at Vintage Modes, Grays Antiques though - although I would love to keep them.  Full details are on my web site.  The web site does not convey the vast amount of stock I have in the shop - far too much to photograph and write about!.  Ref: 2999 C54/54 Price £65

GILLIAN HORSUP VINTAGE JEWELLERY - MAGAZINE SHOOTS

I love working with magazines and loaning my vintage costume jewellery and accessories for photoshoots.  The latest one to appear in print was some earrings I loaned for the September issue of Vogue India.  Love this shoot - photographed by Jason King and styled by Fabio Immediato (one of my favourite stylists!) - it is Sade inspired.  It is always exciting to see how my jewellery has been used in the shoots - sometimes it is quite a surprise!  It is great to meet all the stylists who come into the shop to choose - some of the young and just starting out - and some very experienced.  It livens up my day to talk to young people - full of enthusiasm and energy.  The earrings in this picture are gold tone and black.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL VINTAGE JEWELLERY LOVERS!

I just love vintage jewellery and am looking forward to another year of hunting out more exciting pieces to put in my shop at Vintage Modes in Grays Antiques (Central London).  Only a small percentage of my pieces actually lands up on my web site.  I simply to not have the time for all the photography!   This year I have worked with stylists from both well known publications and the more unusual ones on photoshoots.  Love meeting all the young people just starting out on a career in styling.  I hope 2016 will be a good one and hope I will meet some of you in the shop.

VINTAGE JEWELLERY - GILLIAN HORSUP AT GRAYS ANTIQUES

If you haven't been to my shop selling vintage jewellery at the Mews in Grays Antiques, it is so easy to get to - 2 minute from Bond Street Tube Station.  Am busy dusting and cleaning my vintage gems.  Usually I have so many press loans to do in a week, that it leaves little time for the basics.  Have been creating a display
of pastel colours.  Lots of early plastic jewellery - in lovely muted summer colours.  Take a look at my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - and you will find details of the vintage jewellery - and how to get to my shop.  www.gillianhorsup.com

RED AND DIAMANTE VINTAGE JEWELLERY

Here's some red and diamante vintage jewellery that would look fabulous on Valentine's day!  Two bracelets and a pair of earrings.  The bracelets are from an earlier period than the earrings (which are probably Attwood and Sawyer.)  Love the red colour.  I always have a good selection of vintage glass stones and diamante jewellery in my shop at Grays Antiques.  I am in The Mews part of the Antique Center.  Full details of how to get there on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - hope to see you there!

CORO SET - VINTAGE NECKLACE & BRACELET - LUCITE AND OPALINE STONES

This is a Coro set in gold tone metal - made up of a necklace and bracelet. It is probably 1950's.  The light blue ?lucite stones have pieces of gilt metal inside.  There is a full description of this set on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - look under Vintage Sets.  It is fully marked.  A good example of Coro's use of early plastics - the style is looking backwards but the Lucite is looking to the future!  Price £120 reference 2731 C1/23 - Come and see our huge stock at Grays Antiques in central London.
