LEA STEIN BROOCH - TALL CAT - GOLDEN YELLOW

This is an unusual Lea Stein tall cat brooch.  I have not had this colourway before.  It is in a golden yellow colour with tiny sparkles in the pattern.  It is quite tall at about 4 inches.  The ears and eyes are black and it has a curved tail.  It is a genuine Lea Stein - one of many I have in my shop at Alfies Antiques in central London.  Ref: 3296 D31/10 Price £65

BLACK CIGARETTE HOLDER WITH GOLD TONE TRIM - ART DECO PERIOD

Even obsessive vintage costume jewellery dealers need to get away sometimes.  Just visited Exbury Gardens to see the collection of rhododendrons, magnolias and azaleas in a wonderful garden.  I love trees and there were just so many to look at!  Another year I would go at the beginning of May - just missed the peak time for the above - but there was so much else to look at.  Here I am just enjoying myself!

I always have a selection of Lea Stein brooches in my shop at Alfies Antiques in central London.  This one is the polar bear in a mother of pearl, diamond, pattern.  It has black eyes, nose and ears.  It is a genuine Lea Stein - which is much copied unfortunately.  Ref: 3290 D16/6

CELESTE - THE SOULFUL SINGER - WEARING MY NECKLACE AT ANABEL'S MAY 2019

I love loaning my jewellery to magazines and performers.  This picture is of Celeste - a rising soul singer - who was born in L.A., grew up in Brighton, and is now based in London.  You can hear her singing on YouTube.    She is wearing a lilac coloured diamante necklace from my shop at Alfies Antiques in central London.  She looks quite stunning!  Styled and photographed by Ella Lucia.

GOLD TONE VINTAGE SMALL 'HAND' EARRINGS - LEVER BACK FITTINGS

These small vintage hand earrings came out of a shop that shut in 1972 - but I believe the hands are older.  They are quite charming!  The hand measure about one inch.  I just love hands!  Light weight and easy to wear.  Price £35 ref: 3288 YL

ART DECO PERIOD DIAMANTE BROOCH - WHITE & GREEN

This is an Art Deco period brooch on white metal.  I have completely re-stoned the brooch as some of the glass stones were missing and other discoloured.  This does take time and patience but I think the end result is worth it!  I added some green stones for interest.  The brooch measures about 2 1/4 inches across.  Price £75 ref: 3287

ERMANI BULATTI BRONZE ON BRASS WITH GLASS STONES CLIP EARRINGS

I love the work of Ermani Bulatti - of whom not a lot is known.  The most up to date info is on the Vintage-Jewels.nl/Designers web site.  They state that the firm was founded in 1984 and went out of business in 2012.  They made very high quality jewellery which was sold in the most exclusive boutiques.  These earrings are a bronze finish on brass and have a large, greyish glass stone and a round diamante glass stone.  I have written a few notes under Manufacturers - my Notes under 'Other Info' at the bottom of the left hand column of my website front page.  Price £65 ref: 3285 D32/9  www.gillianhorsup.com

LEA STEIN BROOCH - THE RED FOX WITH BLACK MUSICAL NOTES

I have always enjoyed stocking Lea Stein brooches - which I have been doing for more than

20 years. The red fox has always bee popular - but this one, with black musical notes, is a bit more unusual! It is a genuine Lea Stein and correctly marked on the pin. It measures approx. 3 3/4 inches in length. In addition to the musical notes there are a couple of treble clefs signs!  Price £65  Ref: 3284 D31/2

RED COSTUME JEWELLERY FROM MY SHOP AT ALFIES ANTIQUES, LONDON

I am in Vintage Modes at Alfies Antiques in Marylebone, central London.  I sell a mixture of jewellery and accessories.  Most of the jewellery is vintage but I also sell a few modern/collectible pieces - such as Lea Stein and Marion Godart.  Lea Stein is particularly sought after and customers love the vibrant Marion Godart clip earrings.  It is a red day today - as you can see from these pieces!

BLACK & WHITE JEWELLERY

LARGE F. VOLLE PARIS VINTAGE GOLD TONE & TWO TASSELS BROOCH

This is a very large vintage gold tone brooch - probably from the 1980s.  It was made by Frederick Volle and is marked F. LEA STEIN BROOCH - LARGE BUTTERFLY - MAUVE & LILAC

This is the Lea Stein large butterfly brooch.  It is in lovely colours - a purple/cerise colour and edged with lilac.  The centre is layered.  All my Lea Stein brooches are genuine - I do not sell the copies or fakes.
