SILVER BUCKLE BRACELET DECORATED

A white metal buckle brcelet with a mark 925.  Although this is stamped 925 I cannot sell it as silver as it does not have a British Hallmark.  Date unknown too.  It has a decorated front and a plain back.  The buckle

part unhooks and the hinged piece opens.  The outer diameter is approx 2 1/2 inches.  It is in good used condition with no prangs, dents or scratches.  It is also a good weight - not at all flimsy. More pictures on web site - www.gillianhorsup.com  Ref: 3479 D57/2

MARIE-CHRISTINE PAVONE - COFFEE POT CAT BROOCH - YELLOW ORANGE BLACK

Pavone is well known for her wonderful range of jewellery made out of old stock Galalith which she cuts and polishes and makes into very quirky costume jewellery.  I understand that she is now making from a modern plastic as well - but this is a galalith item.  It is referred to as the coffee pot cat - I think she must have a great sense of humour!  Full details on my website www.gillianhorsup.com  It will be available in my show at Alfies Antiques in central London.  Please check my website for opening times.  Ref: 3432 D57/18  Price £65

ATTWOOD & SAWYER - ATTWOOD COLLECTION - GOLD TONE, DIAMANTE BIRD NECKLACE

This is a ?1980s Attwood & Sawyer - The Attwood Collection - gold tone and diamante bird necklace.  Attwood & Sawyer were a Welsh firm established in 1956.  Unfortunately they ceased trading around the year 2000.  They were reserected by Buckley Jewellery in 2010.  They originally made very high quality pieces in either 22 carat gold plate or rhodium white metal.  They liked historical themes.  I cannot work out what this bird is - but they were very fond of swans and Peacocks.  Full details on my web site as usual - www.gillianhorsup.com for measurements.  Price £180 ref: 3426

ART DECO PAINTED ENAMEL CHEVRON PATTERN BLUE BLACK POWDER COMPACT

Such a great chevron pattern on this blue black silver coloured Art Deco powder compact which I have just put on the web site.  Not perfect - which is reflected in the price - £88 - but not bad considering it is about 80 years old!  Not suitable to use but for a collection.  See lots of pictures and description on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com   Not back at Alfies Antiques yet - but that will be opening on 23rd June.  I will have to wait a bit longer until I think it is safe to travel.  Ref: 3405 D56/14

FACETED VINTAGE COLOURED GLASS BEADS NECKLACE

This necklace was in a sorry state when I got it.  It consists of pairs of vintage coloured faceted beads strung into a medium size - nearly 22 inches - necklace.  I had to find more pairs of beads and a set of clear vintage spacer beads and replace the clasp.  Pleased, though, with the result.  Cannot find enough of the old vintage coloured faceted beads to make more necklaces. Have the smaller beads - but not the bigger ones. Love the colour of the central beads and would love a necklace of these beads.  This necklace is at home with me so it can be sold with Paypal.  Anything on my web site marked 'Available for Sale' can be sold.  The rest is probably locked away at Alfies Antiques which is still closed due to the virus.  Have no idea when it will be able to be reopened.  Ref: 3397 Price £65.

1920s FLAPPER RED AND BLACK GLASS BEADS DRAWSTRING BAG

This is a flapper period, 1920s red ad black glass beads drawstring bag.  The beads are in surprisingly good condition for the age of the bag.  The black beads are more of a black/grey colour.  It would have been carried with a flapper style dress for evening wear.  (Think Downton Abbey).  The lining is red.  It has a drawstring cord.  Full details on the web site - www.gillianhorsup.com  Price £88 Reference 3387 D84/19

MARIE-CHRISTINE PAVONE PURPLE CAT BROOCH

This is a purple cat brooch made by Marie-Christine Pavone.  It is made currently from reworked galalith.  Galalith is an older plastic - a form of casein.  She cuts and polished it to a high degree.  This has come from Pavone so is in unused condition.  It has two glass eyes and painted decoration.  It is signed 'Pavone' on the back.  I have not had a Pavone cat in this colour purple before!  It measures approx 3 3/4 x 2 1/4 inches.  Price £65 ref: 3383 D54/13

CADORO - THE LION RAMPANT - LARGE GOLD TONE BROOCH

This is the Cadoro vintage Scottish Lion Rampant brooch.  It is in a gold wash and is very large.  The Cadoro company were making jewellery in Manhattan between 1954 and 1987.  This is probably later rather than earlier.  It has a hook so it can be worn on a chain as a pendant.  The colour is a little lighter than in the photo - I could not get the colour right!  It measures about 4 inches x 2 3/4 inches and is in good condition.  It is marked Cadoro on the back.  Ref: 3378
