In the Art Deco period a lot of clothes were made by a dress maker - or at home. Buttons, belt buckles and other trimmings would be bought to go with the material of the outfit. This Art Deco belt buckles would have been used to make a belt for a dress. It is in black and silver glass. It has 4 metal rings on the back to sew on to the belt. It is in good condition considering its age! Full details are on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - I usually have a selection of belt buckles of different periods in my shop at Grays Antiques.
