CZECH VINTAGE BROOCH - GREEN STONES & ELABORATE BRASS METALWORK

Thie is a Czech brooch from the Art Deco Period - probably made in Gablonz by an unknown maker.  It has a large green centre stone and smaller ones - all claw set.  The conch shaped metal pieces are mounted on a filigree base - and the metal work would have been gold plate on brass.  The gold plate has aged!  Full details on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com price £95 reference 2911 C35/8.  These brooches are so scare in an undamaged state that I was glad to get this one!

CZECH VINTAGE BROOCH - MOTTLED GREEN GLASS AND MARCASITE

This is a vintage Czech brooch from around the 1930s.  It has a central mottled green glass stone.  It is mounted in a white metal.  Unusually for this sort of brooch, it has marcasite stones set into a leave pattern round the edge - and a central cluster of marcasite.  I love vintage Czech jewellery and always have some pieces in my shop at Grays Antiques - near Bond Street tube station in central London.  www.gillianhorsup.com - reference 2737 C5/2 price £68.
