People say to me that they cannot sew and therefore cannot make a belt to go with a vintage or Art Deco belt buckle. Perhaps you can find a vintage belt at a Charity Shop that measures about 1/2 inch wide - in maybe a suede or soft leather. Cut off the old buckle and it is simple to sew it on to a vintage belt. Or use it as a clasp for a cloak or jacket. I have even seen them used as clasps for a multistrand necklace. This on is in a red and silver clasp and is marked 'Made in Cechoslovakia' - a more unusual spelling. Price £40 ref: 3210 D2/17
