1940s LINKED BRACELET - GILDED BRASS

This is a great 1940's bracelet in gilded brass.  It is quite heavy and would have been made to immitate the 'real thing'!  It is very well made and moves nicely.  The links are double - they go round the rivets on the front and back.  I am so lucky to get such a wonderful example.  I have lots of bracelets in my shop at Grays Antiques - in central London - but not often do I get one like this.  Ref: 2318 B91/56.  Price £128.  this is my web site

ART DECO CELLULOID BANGLE WITH DARK BLUE STONES

Here's an Art Deco celluloid bangle with dark blue stones going all the way round.  These were worn several at a time (sometime quite a lot being worn together!).  This one is in very good condition and all the original stones are there.  I usually have a selection of Deco celluloid bangles - including some snake ones - in my shop at Grays Antiques in central London. Ref: 2317 B100/9 Price £75.  www.gillianhorsup.com - and on Facebook - Gillian Horsup Vintage Jewellery.

GILDED DAGGER BROOCH IN TWO PARTS - VINTAGE

A vintage gilt dagger brooch - marked  'sterling'.  It is made in two parts - joined by two chains - so can either be worn as one complete brooch - or in two parts on, say, a cardigan, with the chains in between. The gilding is in good condition - as is the brooch as a whole.  It would have been made - probably in the States - in the late 1940's or 1950's.  The glass stones imitate sapphires, rubies, turquoise and diamonds.  It is approximately 4 inches long.  Ref: 2316 B88/28 Price £135.  www.gillianhorsup.com - and on Facebook - Gillian Horsup Vintage Jewellery.

An Art Deco - red and silver glass dress clip.  It is wavy and the edges are painted with silver.  It is just so Art Deco and has survived intact for about 70 years!  I always have a selection of dress clips in my shop at Grays Antiques in central London.  This one would look lovely hanging over a thin silver chain.  Ref: 2313 B92/27 Price £40.  www.gillianhorsup.com and on Facebook - Gillian Horsup Vintage Jewellery.  Do click 'like'.

CHARLES HORNER - SNAKE BROOCH - YELLOW CASEIN & CHROME

Until the book was published on Charles Horner it was not widely known that he produced costume jewellery, buttons etc. in casein plastic after diversifying in the 1920's.  (Charles Horner of Halifax - Tom J Lawson - GML Publishing.)  This brooch is in yellow casein and chrome with red glass stone eyes.  See full description on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - I always buy this brooch if I can find it - but I do not remember ever having a yellow one before.
