On my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - at the moment I have the large silver ballet dancer brooch and a pair of small, ballet dancer clip earrings - made by Frederick Massingham and registered by D. H Phillips of London. They have Birmingham Hallmarks for the late 1940's. (See full details on my web site - in the 'silver' section). The brooch is priced at £78 and the earrings £55. Probably made in response to the film 'Red Shoes' which came out at around the same time.n #SilverBalletDancerBrooch #SilverBalletDancerClipEarrings #SilverBalletDancerBroochMassingham #SilverBalletDancerClipEarringsMassingham

TRIFARI - VINTAGE - GOLD TONE PEARL & DIAMENTE NECKLACE
A Trifari classic - a gold tone faux pearl and diamente necklace from 1950/60's. At this time Trifari produced a lot a very good quality gold tone, diamente and faux necklaces. I used to be able to buy these easily - but getting examples in good condition is getting harder. This necklace is absolutely classic Trifari and is in good condition! It measures from 14 - 16 inches approximately. See full details on www.gillianhorsup.com - reference 2701 B109/22 - look under Trifari. Price £88.

ART DECO NECKLACE - GREEN & BLACK GLASS WITH DIAMENTE RONDELS
I spend a lot of my time restoring rows of beads. Sometimes they are missing beads, sometimes the thread will soon break and sometimes someone else has done a poor job of restringing them. This row had some lovely translucent faceted green glass deco beads - but the necklace was a mess! See my web site for the complete description of the transformation. http://www.gillianhorsup.com/product_info.php/products_id/2118 - it took me a while to sort it out. Price, reference and description on the web site! #GreenBlackGlassBeadsDecoNecklace

GOLD TONE, VINTAGE MESH BAG
This is a gold tone, vintage mesh bag - probably 1950/60s. It has to be post 1949 - as it is marked 'West Germany'. If it were not for this label I would have thought that it would have been made by Whiting and Davis - the American company who made most of these mesh bags. For a full description look on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - reference 2695 B140/1 price £75. #VintageMeshBag #GoldToneVintageMeshBag

Chromophilia Exhibition October 2014
Yesterday I went to the Chromophilia Exhibition. My friend Sue Kreitzman had pieces of her work in the exhibition - and helped to curate it. I met up with Sue and Anne Sophie Cochevelou. They both make their own jewellery. Anne Sophie had made a new necklace for Sue - but in this picture Sue is wearing one she had made herself. Sophie is wearing some of her Barbie jewellery. I do love to see what people make themselves to wear! The event was very colourful - but I was in the mood to wear black!
