GREEN BAKELITE & CHROME ART DECO NECKLACE

ART DECO NECKLACE - RED GALALITH RUBES & WHITE METAL RODS

BUTLER & WILSON 1980s PANTHER NECKLACE

VINTAGE NECKLACE WITH RED GLASS HANGINGS

MILLEFIORI NECKLACE - C1930-1940s

Love millefiori!  The centre of the millefiori industry was in Murano, Italy.  To make one beads lots of patterned cones would have to be fused together.  This necklace is predominantly blue - and the patterned cones are not often repeated.  Full details are on my web site - reference 2625.  The price is £120.  A good length to wear for every day - it measures 21 inches approx.

ART DECO COMPACT - LADY WITH GLITTERY SKIRT

Here is an Art Deco compact featuring a lady with a silver glittery skirt and red top - looking into a mirror.  Unusually it has a white metal base with machine cut decoration.  Full description on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - price £185 reference 2624 B137/2.  These compact are now quite rare - it is ages since I had one.  This one is generally in very good condition apart from the paint on her skin.  The top surface of the compact is very good.  Would love to keep her myself!

ART DECO HAT FLASHES

On Saturday and Sunday, 10th and 11th May 2014, I will be standing at Eltham Palace Art Deco Fair.  I will be taking some Art Deco Hat Flashes with me.  These were worn in the cloche hats and berets of the time.  They also look good on jackets and coats.  I usually supply them with hat pin ends.  The price is from about £20 - £40 - depending on how elaborate they are!  I always have a good stock of them in my shop at Grays antiques.

FAUX PINK PEARLS, MAUVE GLASS BEADS & RONDELLES VINTAGE NECKLACE

This is a very pretty pink faux pearls, faceted mauve glass beads and diamente rondelles necklace.  I do not know the date - or if it was originaly made like this.  It has an ornate, Art Deco period clasp.  It is in good, vintage condition - the pearls are fine.  Would look great for a wedding or a summer dance!  The colour is lovely - the photos do not do it justice.  It is very subtle. ART DECO STOCK FOR ELTHAM PALACE - MAY 2014

Here are a few of the items I will be taking to the Eltham Palace Art Deco Fair on 10th and 11th May 2014.  Full details are on the English Heritage web site.  Look up Eltham Palace on Google and you will get full details.  I love Art Deco and the Deco House, Medieval Hall and wonderful gardens are a treat!  I will be sharing as usual with Denise.  I will not be there on the Saturday (apart from setting up) as I will be in my shop at Grays Antiques.  I will be there all day on the Sunday.  Hope to see you there!
