VINTAGE METAL CHAIN BRACELET WITH 5 BAKELITE HANGINGS

A wonderful chain bracelet with 5 colourful pieces of bakelite hanging.  These are in red, black, brown and two different greens.  The bracelet is quite long - at approx 9 inches - but the links are not soldered so it could be made shorter.  It is very yummy and I would be happy to keep it!  This is just one of many bracelets I have in my shop at Vintage Modes, in Grays Antiques - next to Bond Street Tube Station in central London.  The bracelet is £88 and the reference is 2267 B97/15.  I only manage to get a small proportion of my pieces onto my web site - but do take a look - www.gillianhorsup.com - and you will also find me on the Grays Antiques web site, Facebook (Gillian Horsup Vintage Jewellery) Twitter and Pinterest.

YELLOW BAKELITE BRACELET WITH GLASS FACES

ART DECO 'CARVED GLASS'FLOWERS NECKLACE

This delicate necklace is made up of 3 panels of 'carved glass' flowers.  These are not, of course, carved glass - but have been moulded to look like carved pieces of real stones - copying the work of Jewellers such as Cartier.  It is on a fine, white metal, chain.  It has open backed glass stones in between. It is amazing that it has survived for about 80 years undamaged!  It is currently in my shop at Vintage Modes, Grays Antiques - very near Bond Street tube station in central London.  I have a good selection of vintage jewellery and vintage costume jewellery in my shop and am always adding new stock.  I love Art Deco and always try to have a selection of interesting pieces - brooches, dress clips, necklaces, earrings - and also a variety of small collectibles - such as compacts, hair combs, powder boxes etc.  The necklace is £128 and the reference is 2255 B88/5 - further details on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com

CAROL MATHER SILVER STAG BROOCH

This is a Carol Mather silver stag brooch - hallmarked London 2004.  It does not appear to be on her current website - so I presume she is not making it at present.  Carol shows a love of wildlife and great attention to detail in her work - which has been exhibited worldwide.  The stag is silver with gold coloured antlers and collar.  His eye is black.  It has a safety chain with her distinctive stud.  It is hallmarked on the back.  (See my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com for a picture of the back and further details - size etc.).  This is definitely a brooch for an animal lover!  Price £120 Ref: 2253 B91/47

BAKELITE & CELLULOID BANGLES

Here's a picture of one of the shelves in my showcases in Grays Antiques - in central London.  There are lots of gorgeous coloured bakelite bangles, celluloid flower bangles, celluloid snake and other decorated bangles - including some upper arm ones, and lots more.  I usually have a good selection.  Bakelite bangles can be added one by one to a collection - and worn in different combinations - according to the colour of your outfit!  Bakelite is just one of my favourite materials!

CZECH HORNET BROOCH - YELLOW BLACK & WHITE GLASS STONES
