N.E. FROM - DENMARK - PLAIN SILVER NECKLACE

This silver necklace was made by N. E. From - Denmark.  It has an early N. E. From mark - From 925 S - and also a British Import Hallmark for 1991.  As From closed in 1990 this was obviously added later.  Perhaps the importer bought some stock from the firm when it closed.  Who knows - but the import mark also has the letters AD - which might indicate who imported the necklace.  The style is very 1950/60s.  It is only 15 1/2 inches so will not fit everyone!  A simple style that can be worn anywhere!  ref: 2924 Price £145.

LEA STEIN BROOCH - THE HEDGEHOG - BLACK & GREY

At Grays Antiques in central London we probably have the best selection of Lea Stein brooches.  I usually have a good stock and Linda Bee also has some - so there is usually plenty to choose from.  I am taking this hedgehog brooch in with me today - it is one of my favourites.  It has a black face, feet and trim and a greyish, striped body.  Very distinctive!  Price £65 reference 2922 C32/13

BAKELITE JEWELLERY IN LONDON

In my shop at Grays Antiques - in central London - I try to have a good selection of bakelite jewellery. - and small collectibles.   This is difficult as there was never so much here in the UK as there was in the States.  Here are a few of the items I have been able to buy recently.  Do pay a visit!

GALALITH BELT BUCKLE - RED & GREEN LEAVES

I love the Art Deco period belt buckles.  This one is in red and pale green galalith and is in the shape of two leaves.  It is very easy to attach this to a belt.  You could buy a belt (1 1/2 inches in width) remove the buckle and attach it to this buckle - with a stapler if you cannot sew!  It could also be used as a cloak fasterner.  Price £68 ref: 2920 C39/9

COLLECTION OF RED & BLACK PLASTIC JEWELLERY IN MY LONDON SHOP

These are the sort of items I love for display in my shop at Grays Antiques in central London.  They are visually strong.  Love combinations of red and black, green and black, black and white etc.  The 'hat' is a sewing container.  The two bracelets are modern Marion Godart Paris.  The rest are mixed periods.  They are not in the shop yet - but if you are interested in any item do contact me.  Ref: 2919

1960s FLOWERS CLIP EARRINGS

In my shop at Grays Antiques in central London where I am part of Vintage Modes - I like to sell items that are representative of their time.  That is why I love these 1960s plastic clip earrings.  They are flowers - and were very popular.  Some have a button clip fitting, some are bigger than others, and they come in four different colours.  Wonderful for Spring - or a 1960s event!  Prices are £35 for the button tops, £30 for the larger and £25 for the smaller.
