This is a Lea Stein serigraphy brooch. These are circa 1960s and were not usually marked with her normal Lea Stein Paris pin. It is like a picture set in a faux tortoiseshell surround. The lady has on a very large hat. It has a faux mother of pearl sheen. This one is in good condition and I was very please to get it - they are hard to find. This is my favourite out of the Lea Stein cat brooches. Love the Art Deco period - and although this was not made then, she has captured the era! This cat brooch is in red with black and white. It is a genuine Lea Stein - I do not sell the fakes. It has the correct pin on the back - marked Lea Stein Paris. I usually have a good selection of her brooches in my shop at Grays Antiques in central London. Grays Antiques in two separate buildings. The Mews, where I am, has one of the biggest selections of Vintage Costume Jewellery in the country! Do pay us a visit. Price £65. Reference 2792 C8/1

This is a very large vintage/antique brooch in a gilded metal - although of course the gilding has worn off over the years. It is very heavy and would probably have been worn on the thicker materials earlier in the 20th century. It is about 3 1/2 inches across. Full details on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - price £120 reference 2792 C13/31

This is a very large silver dog brooch from Mexican - probably 1940/50s. It is quite stunning - but not so heavy as it looks as it would be hollow inside. There is a full description on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - price £128 reference 2789 B138/24. I love Mexican silver jewellery and wish I had more in stock!
