Here's a great example of a ?1940's celluloid brooch. It is square with a raised piece in the centre. The pin on the back is a bit crude - as they were at this period. (See picture of back on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com). Price £30 reference 2589. I always have a selection of 1930/1950's brooches in my shop at Grays Antiques.

I have bought a large collection of Art Deco hat flashes/cloche pins. These ones are in black celluloid with diamente glass stones. They have an open pin on the back - but I can supply an 'end' for the pin. They look wonderful on a hat, beret or jacket. They can also be pinned on an Art Deco fabric bag. There are just so many uses for them! These ones are middle priced at £30 each. Reference 2587 J1. www.gillianhorsup.com

This is a brightly coloured Lea Stein parrot brooch. It is in lemon yellow, blue green and jazzy red. It is quite a long brooch - being approx 4 1/2 inches. I cannot often seem to get this brooch in colours that I like so was pleased to get it. I only sell the genuine Lea Stein jewellery and this is correctly marked on the back - Lea Stein Paris.

I love loaning my jewellery to magazines and seeing what they do with it! In this month's British Vogue Lucinda Chambers - the stylist - borrowed and large selection of my plastic jewellery for a shoot called 'Rainbow Babes'. This was photographed by Mario Testino and the model was Daria Werbowy. Love the result! If you like this sort of plastic jewellery then my shop is just the place for you to visit! www.gillianhorsup.com

A Mexican silver set by M. Ocampo - sold in a shop called Perlita. Fully marked and in good condition. Measurements on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - together with Mexican marks. Price £180. Reference 2584. I love Mexican silver jewellery when I can find pieces at a sensible price! I have to point out that because of the UK hallmarking regulations, I cannot sell this set as silver.
